Network & IT Infrastructure

Marine network environments are uniquely demanding — multiple VLANs for crew, guest, and owner traffic, satellite uplinks with variable latency, and security requirements that rival enterprise environments. We design, configure, and troubleshoot all of it.

What does this service include?

  • ✓VLAN configuration & network segmentation
  • ✓Firewall management & security hardening
  • ✓WiFi design (crew/guest/owner separation)
  • ✓VSAT & Starlink integration & failover
  • ✓DNS, DHCP, and routing configuration
  • ✓Network security audits

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you integrate Starlink with our existing VSAT system?

Yes. We configure Starlink Maritime alongside existing VSAT with automatic failover using Peplink SD-WAN bonding. This ensures seamless connectivity switching based on signal quality and location.

Why does our yacht WiFi keep dropping for guests?

The most common cause is improper VLAN segmentation. Guest, crew, and owner traffic should be on separate VLANs with proper DHCP scopes and firewall rules. We audit and reconfigure the entire network to eliminate these issues.

Common Issues

Common issues: Guest WiFi dropping on open water, VLAN misconfiguration causing AV system failures, Starlink handover problems, bandwidth contention between systems.
